Mike McCord

I’m the Director of Operations for Community Foodscape in Atlanta, GA helping to make Permaculture more easily accessible to the general public.
I’m a Permaculture Designer, Certified Arborist, Georgia Certified Landscape Professional, and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture from UGA. I worked with Trees Atlanta for over 5 years and managed the Urban Food Forest at Browns Mill, the largest publicly-owned food forest in the nation. I’m now the Director of Operations for Community Foodscapes, an edible landscaping company in Atlanta, GA that installs veggie gardens, fruit trees, rain gardens, wildflower meadows, and hardscapes.

Thanks to a US Forest Service grant and a partnership between the city of Atlanta, the Conservation Fund, and Trees Atlanta, the UFFBM is a 7.1 acres of land ripe with 2,500 chemical-free edible and medicinal plants only 10 minutes from Atlanta’s airport.
